Member of the Month – August 2018
Each month, the APA plans to feature one randomly chosen member; this month Feller Finch and Associates. We hope you can use these brief overviews to learn more about your neighbors and reach out to network and create relationships that help you grow your businesses.
Feller Finch and Associates, Inc.
Experienced Civil Engineering and Land Survey
Feller Finch and Associates, according to Aaron Feller, works 50% with the public sector, including work as the municipal engineer for small cities and villages. The other 50% of the business is private sector work including designs from the “ground down” in new developments. They work with land developers to plan all the underground systems and pavement of new buildings or subdivisions, including plat development, property surveys, construction staking, inspection services, and recording changes made during construction.
Feller Finch was established in 1984 by Don Feller and Richard Finch. The current owners are Don Feller and his sons Aaron and Greg Feller, with a total staff of 18. Richard Finch retired about 15 years ago.
Feller Finch is known for its subdivision work in the area. They recently completed the Twelve Lakes subdivision in Sylvania, and are in the early plat design for the Stoney Creek subdivision at Albon and Salisbury.
In 2010, they were the first in the area to plan pervious pavement for the Sylvania fire station at Monroe and Whiteford. The unique pavement allows water to filter through so that less water has to be drained off the property.
Why Arrowhead Park?
Aaron considers the Arrowhead Park location a benefit to his many clients in Perrysburg and Sylvania because of its easy access to US 23. Feller Finch’s office building at 1683 Woodlands Drive was built by founders Don and Dick when the Park was young, and it contains three suites. Evans Beebe & Fields Financial Group and Unify Marketing reside in the other suites.
In addition to their Maumee location, Feller Finch has a presence in Nashville, Tennessee. Aaron and Greg were impressed with the growth in Nashville when visiting there for an urban adventure race. They have clients there now and visit regularly but complete all the work here in Maumee. Eventually, they hope to staff an office in Nashville as well.
Feller Finch is currently seeking a CAD operator.
